सप्तदशः सर्गः — देवसंवादः तथा वानर-ऋक्ष-उत्पत्तिः (Divine Council and the Generation of Vanara Allies)
ते तथोक्ता भगवता तत्प्रतिश्रुत्य शासनम्।जनयामासुरेवं ते पुत्रान्वानररूपिण:।।।।
te tathoktā bhagavatā tatpratiśrutya śāsanam |
janayāmāsur evaṃ te putrān vānararūpiṇaḥ || 1.17.7 ||
Thus instructed by the Blessed Lord, and having assented to his command, they accordingly begot sons, assuming the form of monkeys.
Instructed by Brahma in that manner, all of them gave birth to sons in the form of monkeys.
Dharma is faithful compliance with rightful instruction: when a legitimate moral purpose is set, coordinated action and keeping one’s pledged word sustains order.
After Brahmā’s directive, the celestials accept it and begin producing vānara-form sons who will later assist Rāma.
Śraddhā and commitment—accepting a duty (pratiśruti) and carrying it through in action.
