सप्तदशः सर्गः — देवसंवादः तथा वानर-ऋक्ष-उत्पत्तिः (Divine Council and the Generation of Vanara Allies)
पूर्वमेव मया सृष्टो जाम्बवानृक्षपुङ्गव:।जृम्भमाणस्य सहसा मम वक्त्रादजायत।।।।
pūrvam eva mayā sṛṣṭo jāmbavān ṛkṣapuṅgavaḥ |
jṛmbhamāṇasya sahasā mama vaktrād ajāyata || 1.17.6 ||
Earlier I created Jāmbavān, the foremost of bears; as I yawned, he suddenly sprang forth from my mouth.
Earlier Jambavan, the foremost among bears was suddenly emerged out of my face while I was yawning.
Dharma is supported by timely providence: helpers for righteousness are brought forth as needed, indicating that moral order is not abandoned in crises.
Brahmā notes that Jāmbavān already exists—created earlier—establishing him as a pre-appointed ally in the divine plan.
Primacy and reliability: Jāmbavān is marked as ‘foremost,’ implying leadership and steadfast support in dharmic action.
