सप्तदशः सर्गः — देवसंवादः तथा वानर-ऋक्ष-उत्पत्तिः (Divine Council and the Generation of Vanara Allies)
सत्यसन्धस्य वीरस्य सर्वेषान्नो हितैषिण:।विष्णोस्सहायान्बलिनस्सृजध्वं कामरूपिण:।।।।
golāṅgūlīṣu cotpannāḥ kecit sammatavikramāḥ |
ṛkṣīṣu ca tathā jātā vānarāḥ kinnarīṣu ca ||
Some monkeys, famed for their valor, were born from tailed she-monkeys; likewise others were born from she-bears, and also from female Kinnaras.
Create strong and powerful beings capable of assuming forms at free will to extend support to Visnu who is true to his word, heroic and benevolent.
Dharma is shown as a cosmic coordination: diverse beings are brought forth so that righteous action (Rāma’s mission) is supported by suitable strength and courage.
