The righteous-souled Rāma approached his dear friend Guha, lord of the Niṣādas; and with Guha, with Lakṣmaṇa, and with Sītā, he went onward together.
The citizens and Dasaratha followed Rama for a long distance. Rama of righteous nature having approached Guha, king of nishadas, at Shrungiberapura sent back charioteer Sumantra and Rama along with Sita and Lakshmana crossed river Ganga.
Dharma is shown as inclusive righteousness—honoring sincere friendship and mutual respect beyond social boundaries (Rāma and Guha).
Rāma meets Guha, the Niṣāda leader, who becomes an ally as Rāma continues the forest journey with Sītā and Lakṣmaṇa.
Rāma’s dharmic openness and loyalty in friendship; Guha’s devoted support is also implied.
