अयोमुखी-दर्शनम् तथा कबन्ध-प्रवेशः (Ayomukhi Encounter and the ظهور of Kabandha)
मां हि भूतबलिं दत्वा पलायस्व यथासुखम्।।।।अधिगन्तासि वैदेहीमचिरेणेति मे मतिः।
māṁ hi bhūta-baliṁ datvā palāyasva yathā-sukham |
adhigantāsi vaidehīm acireṇeti me matiḥ ||3.69.39||
Indeed, offer me as an oblation to this being and flee as you wish; in my judgment, you will soon regain Vaidehī.
Giving me to this monstor as an offering, you may run away happily. I think you will soon obtain Vaidehi.
Prioritizing the righteous objective over personal survival: Lakshmana urges that Rama’s duty to recover Sita should not be derailed, even at the cost of Lakshmana’s life.
