O king, many rākṣasas stationed at Janasthāna have been slain—Khara too fell in battle. I have come here with difficulty, having barely escaped.
O king! many demons dwelling at Janasthana including Khara have been killed. I manged to escape with much difficulty.
The collapse of violent power illustrates karmic consequence: aggression rooted in adharma invites destruction when confronted by righteous resistance.
Akampana arrives before Rāvaṇa and reports the battlefield catastrophe at Janasthāna, including Khara’s death.
Truth-telling under pressure (satya): Akampana reports facts plainly despite fear and disgrace.
