अगस्त्याश्रमप्रवेशः तथा दिव्यायुधप्रदानम् (Entry into Agastya’s Hermitage and the Gift of Divine Weapons)
ततश्शिष्यादुपश्रुत्य प्राप्तं रामं सलक्ष्मणम्।।।।वैदेहीं च महाभागामिदं वचनमब्रवीत्।
tataś śiṣyād upaśrutya prāptaṃ rāmaṃ salakṣmaṇam | vaidehīṃ ca mahābhāgām idaṃ vacanam abravīt ||
Then, having heard from the disciple that Rāma had arrived with Lakṣmaṇa, and that the greatly fortunate Vaidehī (Sītā) was also present, the sage spoke these words.
Having heard from the disciple about the arrival of Rama, Lakshmana and great daughter of the king of Videha the sage said :
Proper reception of worthy guests begins with attentive listening and timely, appropriate response—an aspect of atithi-dharma.
Agastya hears the disciple’s report that Rāma, Lakṣmaṇa, and Sītā have arrived, and he prepares to respond.
