Shloka 3.12.8

अगस्त्याश्रमप्रवेशः तथा दिव्यायुधप्रदानम् (Entry into Agastya’s Hermitage and the Gift of Divine Weapons)

द्रष्टुं भवन्तमायातौ शुश्रूषार्थमरिन्दमौ।।।।यदत्रानन्तरं तत्त्वमाज्ञापयितुमर्हसि।

draṣṭuṃ bhavantam āyātau śuśrūṣārtham arindamau | yad atrānantaraṃ tattvam ājñāpayitum arhasi ||

Those two subduers of enemies have come to behold your venerable presence and to serve you; be pleased to command what should rightly be done next in this matter.

Both the subduers of enemies have come here now to see and serve your Holiness. You may order what is to be done next.

Respect for spiritual authority: seekers approach the sage with humility and ask for right guidance (dharma-nirdeśa).

The disciple tells Agastya that Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa have come not merely to meet him, but to serve, and they await instructions.

Humility and willingness to serve (sevā-bhāva) coupled with readiness to follow righteous instruction.
