Shloka 3.12.14

अगस्त्याश्रमप्रवेशः तथा दिव्यायुधप्रदानम् (Entry into Agastya’s Hermitage and the Gift of Divine Weapons)

ततो गत्वाऽऽश्रमपदं शिष्येण सह लक्ष्मणः।। ।।दर्शयामास काकुत्स्थं सीतां च जनकात्मजाम्।

tato niṣkramya sambhrāntaḥ śiṣyo lakṣmaṇam abravīt |

kvāsau rāmo muniṃ draṣṭum etu praviśatu svayam ||

Then the disciple hurried out and said to Lakṣmaṇa, “Where is Rāma? Let him come to see the sage—let him enter in person.”

Then Lakshmana reached the entrance of the hermitage with the disciple and showed Rama of the Kakutstha race and Sita, daughter of Janaka .

Promptness in righteous duty: once dharma-based hospitality is commanded, it should be executed quickly and properly, without negligence.

The disciple comes out from the hermitage to locate Rāma and instructs that he should enter to meet Agastya.

Responsible service (sevā) and urgency in carrying out a righteous instruction.
