Properly welcomed by that venerable sage, Rāghava ate roots and fruits and spent a night there.
Warmly received by the sage, Rama shared the roots and fruits and slept the night there.
Mutual dharma of hospitality and simplicity: the sage receives properly, and Rāma accepts simple forest food without indulgence.
Rāma is hosted in a hermitage, eats roots and fruits, and stays for a night.
Aparigraha-like simplicity and gratitude: accepting modest offerings and living harmoniously in an ascetic setting.
