पञ्चाप्सरो-सरः कथनम् तथा अगस्त्याश्रममार्गनिर्देशः (Panchapsara Lake Account and Directions to Agastya)
उपास्य पश्चिमां सन्ध्यां सह भ्रात्रा यथाविधि।प्रविवेशाऽश्रमपदं तमृषिं सोऽभ्यवादयत्।।।।
upāsya paścimāṃ sandhyāṃ saha bhrātrā yathāvidhi | praviveśāśramapadaṃ tam ṛṣiṃ so 'bhyavādayat ||
Having duly performed the western twilight worship with his brother, Rama entered the hermitage and respectfully greeted the sage.
Rama with his brother Lakshmana duly offered oblations at twilight, entered the hermitage and greeted the sage (Sudarsana) with folded palms.
Nitya-karma (daily obligatory duty) and respect for sages: Rāma prioritizes sandhyā observance and then approaches the hermitage with proper reverence.
At twilight, Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa complete sandhyā rites and then enter a sage’s hermitage to offer greetings.
Discipline and humility: careful ritual propriety (yathāvidhi) and courteous salutation to spiritual elders.
