Matsya Purana — Yadu Lineage
बले राज्याधिकारस्तु यावत्कालं बभूव ह तावत्कालं तु प्रह्लादो निवृत्तो ह्य् असुरैः सह //
bale rājyādhikārastu yāvatkālaṃ babhūva ha tāvatkālaṃ tu prahlādo nivṛtto hy asuraiḥ saha //
So long as Bali held the rightful authority over the kingdom, for that very span of time Prahlāda, together with the Asuras, remained withdrawn from rule (having stepped aside).
This verse does not discuss Pralaya; it focuses on political authority and succession among Asura figures (Bali and Prahlāda).
It underscores legitimacy and orderly succession: when Bali holds the sanctioned right to rule, Prahlāda refrains from exercising kingship—implying restraint, respect for rightful authority, and stability in governance (a Rajadharma theme).
No Vastu, temple-architecture, or ritual procedure is stated in this verse; its takeaway is political—recognition of rightful kingship and voluntary withdrawal from power.
