Matsya Purana — Yadu Lineage
वसुदेववचः श्रुत्वा रूपं संहरते ऽच्युतः अनुज्ञाप्य ततः शौरिं नन्दगोपगृहे ऽनयत् //
vasudevavacaḥ śrutvā rūpaṃ saṃharate 'cyutaḥ anujñāpya tataḥ śauriṃ nandagopagṛhe 'nayat //
Having heard Vasudeva’s words, the infallible Lord (Acyuta) withdrew His manifested form; then, after taking leave (with permission), he took Śauri and brought him to the house of Nanda the cowherd.
This verse does not discuss pralaya; it narrates a Vaishnava episode where Acyuta withdraws a manifested form and proceeds to Nanda’s house with Śauri.
Indirectly, it highlights household dharma and protective responsibility: Vasudeva’s counsel and the careful relocation to Nanda’s home reflect prudent guardianship and acting for the welfare and safety of dependents.
No explicit Vāstu or ritual procedure is taught here; the only locational detail is the destination—Nanda’s house—serving the narrative of concealment and protection rather than architectural rules.
