Matsya Purana — Yadu Lineage
यस्मात्ते जानतो धर्मप्रवध्या स्त्री निषूदिता तस्मात्त्वं सप्तकृत्वेह मानुषेषूपपत्स्जसे //
yasmātte jānato dharmapravadhyā strī niṣūditā tasmāttvaṃ saptakṛtveha mānuṣeṣūpapatsjase //
Because you knowingly killed a woman who was under the protection of Dharma, therefore you shall be born among human beings here seven times (to undergo the consequence).
This verse does not discuss Pralaya; it teaches karmaphala—how a specific sinful act leads to repeated human births as its consequence.
It reinforces the dharmic duty to protect the vulnerable—especially women—and warns that deliberate wrongdoing (jānataḥ) brings definite karmic retribution, a key ethical standard for rulers and householders alike.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is stated here; the focus is moral causality (sin leading to rebirth).
