FAQs

This verse does not describe pralaya or cosmology; it frames a devotional question about how Viṣṇu-bhakti leads to auspicious human attainments like health, longevity, and prosperity.

It aligns with the Purāṇic householder/kingly ideal that worldly welfare (ārogya, āyuḥ, sampad) should be sought through dharmic devotion—making bhakti a foundation for righteous governance and household prosperity.

No Vāstu or temple-architecture rule is stated in this verse; it functions as a ritual-theological prompt, leading into instructions (elsewhere in the chapter) on practices by which devotion and its “phala” are attained.
