FAQs

This verse is not about Pralaya; it is a phala-śruti stating that correct worship of the Nakṣatra-Puruṣa grants worldly aims and culminates in honor in Viṣṇu’s realm.

It emphasizes vidhivat (rule-bound) personal practice: a householder or king should perform prescribed rites properly to secure legitimate desires (kāmas) while orienting life toward Vaiṣṇava merit and higher attainment.

Ritually, it highlights nakṣatra-based upāsanā and the importance of performing it exactly “as enjoined” (vidhivat), a principle also applied in Matsya Purana-style Vastu and temple rituals where timing and procedure determine efficacy.
