Matsya Purana — The Kauśika Descendants: Śrāddha
भोक्ष्यसे मयि भुक्ते त्वं स्नासि स्नाते तथा मयि प्रोषिते सति दीना त्वं क्रुद्धे ऽपि भयचञ्चला //
bhokṣyase mayi bhukte tvaṃ snāsi snāte tathā mayi proṣite sati dīnā tvaṃ kruddhe 'pi bhayacañcalā //
When I have eaten, you eat; when I have bathed, you bathe likewise. When I am away, you grow dejected; even when I am angry, you tremble, wavering with fear.
Directly, it does not describe cosmic dissolution; it portrays human conduct and emotional dependence within the Manu-cycle narrative that frames the Purana’s Pralaya-related teachings.
It reflects grihastha-dharma ideals of coordinated household routine and the spouse’s attentive alignment with the husband’s actions, emphasizing loyalty, shared discipline, and the emotional dynamics expected in traditional domestic ethics.
No Vastu or temple-architecture rule is stated here; the only ritual-adjacent element is the paired act of bathing (snāna), indicating disciplined domestic and purity-oriented routine rather than construction guidelines.
