Matsya Purana — The Dialogue of Kacha and Devayani: Dharma
असुरैर्हन्यमाने तु कचे त्वयि पुनः पुनः तदाप्रभृति या प्रीतिस् तां त्वमेव स्मरस्व मे //
asurairhanyamāne tu kace tvayi punaḥ punaḥ tadāprabhṛti yā prītis tāṃ tvameva smarasva me //
O Kaca, when you were being slain again and again by the Asuras, the affection that arose in me from that time onward—remember that love of mine yourself.
This verse is not about Pralaya; it belongs to a moral-narrative episode emphasizing memory, attachment, and loyalty amid repeated peril.
It highlights steadiness in relationships and gratitude—qualities valued for householders (gṛhastha-dharma) and rulers alike, who must remember obligations and repay loyalty rather than act forgetfully.
No Vāstu or ritual procedure is taught in this verse; its focus is interpersonal dharma within a Purāṇic narrative frame.
