“Today we shall set forth to subdue the gods; relying on the strength of our own arms, all of us—without doubt—will prevail.”
This verse does not discuss Pralaya; it portrays a martial, political-cosmic ambition to “subdue the Devas,” reflecting conflict within the ongoing maintenance of cosmic order rather than dissolution.
Indirectly, it warns against arrogance and unrighteous aggression—relying solely on brute force (“svabāhubala”) to dominate rightful authorities. In dharma literature, power must be guided by dharma, counsel, and restraint, not mere might.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is stated in this verse; it is focused on intent and strategy in a Deva–Asura confrontation.
