Victory to you, O Viśākha, O mighty Lord; victory to you, the savior of all worlds; victory to you, the commander of Devasenā. Victory to you, O Skanda, son of Gaurī—dear to the bell’s sound—O beloved Viśākha, whose banner and spreading pennants are unfurled; adorned with gold, radiant with a brilliance like the sun’s glow.
This verse is not about pralaya; it is a stotra praising Skanda/Viśākha with epithets of protection and radiance, focusing on devotion rather than cosmology.
Indirectly, it supports the householder’s dharma of daily worship (pūjā) and reverence to divine protectors; the imagery of ‘commander of the divine host’ also resonates with royal ideals of guardianship and order.
Ritually, ‘ghaṇṭāpriya’ highlights the bell as a standard pūjā element; iconographically, banners/flags and golden ornaments suggest typical temple-processional and deity-adornment conventions used in Puranic worship settings.
