Matsya Purana — Skanda’s Consecration
Then he reflected, his mind somewhat unsettled: “Who could that unprecedented warrior be—one whom I have not yet defeated?”
This verse does not address pralaya or cosmology; it focuses on a warrior-king’s disturbed reflection about an unconquered opponent.
It highlights a ruler’s martial self-assessment and the kṣatriya impulse toward proving supremacy; in Rajadharma contexts, such pride is typically tempered by discernment, restraint, and dharmic decision-making before conflict.
No vastu, temple-building, iconography, or ritual procedure is mentioned; the verse is psychological and martial rather than technical.
