Matsya Purana — Skanda’s Consecration
यज्जगद्दलनादाप्तं किल्बिषं दानव त्वया तस्याहं शासकस्ते ऽद्य राजास्मि भुवनत्रये //
yajjagaddalanādāptaṃ kilbiṣaṃ dānava tvayā tasyāhaṃ śāsakaste 'dya rājāsmi bhuvanatraye //
O Dānava, the sin you incurred by crushing the world—of that I am your chastiser today; for I am the king across the three worlds.
It does not describe Pralaya directly; it emphasizes cosmic governance—wrongdoing that harms the world is met by a higher sovereign authority who preserves order across the three worlds.
It reflects a Rajadharma principle: a legitimate ruler must restrain and punish actions that oppress society and destabilize the world, framing punishment as protection of dharma rather than personal vengeance.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is mentioned; the focus is political-theological—authority, justice, and the restoration of order.
