Matsya Purana — Skanda’s Consecration
इत्युक्तास्तु सुरास्तेन प्रोचुः प्रणतमौलयः सर्व एव महात्मानं गुहं तद्गतमानसाः //
ityuktāstu surāstena procuḥ praṇatamaulayaḥ sarva eva mahātmānaṃ guhaṃ tadgatamānasāḥ //
Thus addressed by him, all the gods—bowing their heads—spoke to the great-souled Guha, their minds wholly fixed upon him.
This verse does not describe pralaya directly; it highlights a devotional/narrative moment where the gods, in reverence, approach and address Guha with concentrated minds.
It models dharmic conduct—humility, respectful speech, and single-pointed attention toward a worthy authority—virtues also expected of kings and householders when seeking counsel or performing religious duties.
No Vāstu or temple-building rule is stated; the ritual takeaway is the etiquette of reverence (praṇata-mauli) and mental focus (tad-gata-manas) when approaching a deity or revered figure.
