Matsya Purana — Purūravas Beholds the Divine Himalayan River
लभन्ते यत्र पूताङ्गा देवेभ्यः प्रतिमानिताः स्त्रियश्च नाकबहुलाः पद्मेन्दुप्रतिमाननाः //
labhante yatra pūtāṅgā devebhyaḥ pratimānitāḥ striyaśca nākabahulāḥ padmendupratimānanāḥ //
There, with their bodies purified, women attain honor even from the gods; and there are many celestial women, lotus-and-moon-like in face.
It does not address pralaya; it describes the post-mortem reward of merit—purified embodiment and honor in heavenly realms.
Indirectly, it supports the Purāṇic ethic that righteous duty (dharma) and meritorious acts (puṇya) yield exalted results—honor even among the devas—encouraging kings and householders to uphold dharma and charity.
No direct Vāstu or temple-building rule appears here; the verse functions as a phala-śruti style depiction of svarga’s enjoyments and status gained through merit.
