Matsya Purana — Paurava Genealogy
उर्वो भाव्यः सुतस्तस्य तिग्मात्मा तस्य चात्मजः तिग्माद्बृहद्रथो भाव्यो वसुदामा बृहद्रथात् //
urvo bhāvyaḥ sutastasya tigmātmā tasya cātmajaḥ tigmādbṛhadratho bhāvyo vasudāmā bṛhadrathāt //
From Urva was born a son named Bhāvya; Bhāvya’s son was Tigmātmā. From Tigmātmā came Bṛhadratha, and from Bṛhadratha was born Vasudāmā.
This verse does not discuss pralaya; it records a royal genealogy, listing successive descendants from Urva to Vasudāmā.
Indirectly, it supports the Purāṇic ideal of dharmic continuity through lineage—kingship and household order are preserved by legitimate succession and remembered ancestry.
No Vāstu, temple, or ritual procedure is mentioned; the verse is purely genealogical.
