Matsya Purana — Navagraha Sacrifice for Planetary Pacification and Prosperity
अनेन विधिना यस्तु ग्रहपूजां समाचरेत् सर्वान्कामानवाप्नोति प्रेत्य स्वर्गे महीयते //
anena vidhinā yastu grahapūjāṃ samācaret sarvānkāmānavāpnoti pretya svarge mahīyate //
Whoever performs the worship of the planets according to this prescribed method attains all desired aims; and after death, he is honored in heaven.
This verse does not discuss Pralaya; it is a phalaśruti stating the results of correctly performed Graha-pūjā—worldly fulfillment and post-mortem honor in Svarga.
It supports the householder/kingly duty of maintaining ritual order (śrauta–smārta style observances): performing prescribed worship to harmonize life, secure prosperity, and uphold dharma through disciplined practice.
The significance is ritual rather than architectural: strict adherence to the stated विधि (procedure) for planetary worship is emphasized as the key to obtaining the promised fruits.
