Matsya Purana — Manvantaras
तेषां रूपानुरूपैश्च प्रमाणैः स्थिरजङ्गमाः मनोज्ञैस्तत्र तैर्भोगैः सुखिनो ह्युपपेदिरे //
teṣāṃ rūpānurūpaiśca pramāṇaiḥ sthirajaṅgamāḥ manojñaistatra tairbhogaiḥ sukhino hyupapedire //
There, both the immobile and the mobile beings attained bodies with measures proportionate to their respective forms; and, enjoying those delightful pleasures in that place, they indeed came to dwell in happiness.
It emphasizes orderly re-establishment after cosmic transitions: beings (moving and unmoving) obtain appropriately proportioned embodiments and experience fitting enjoyments, indicating a structured cosmic order rather than randomness.
By stressing proportion (pramāṇa) and fitting enjoyment (bhoga), it supports the ethical ideal of measured living—kings should govern with balance and householders should pursue pleasures within proper limits aligned with dharma.
The key term pramāṇa (correct measure/proportion) is foundational in Vastu and iconometry: just as beings have form-appropriate measures, images and structures are to be made with prescribed proportions for harmony and auspicious results.
