Matsya Purana — Mahāgaurī’s Entry
यावद्वर्षसहस्रान्तम् उभयो रहसिस्थयोः नानाकरणबद्धोत्था क्रीडासीत् संतता तयोः //
yāvadvarṣasahasrāntam ubhayo rahasisthayoḥ nānākaraṇabaddhotthā krīḍāsīt saṃtatā tayoḥ //
For as long as a thousand years, while the two remained in a secret place, their amorous play continued unbroken—arising from many postures and movements bound into varied embraces.
This verse does not discuss pralaya or cosmology; it is a narrative description emphasizing prolonged, uninterrupted private amorous sport over an immense time-span.
Indirectly, it reflects the Purāṇic acknowledgment of kāma (desire) as a human pursuit; however, it offers no explicit dharma instruction here—only a descriptive narrative of private union.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is mentioned; the technical focus is on nānā-karaṇa (varied movements/postures) and continuous krīḍā (amorous play).
