Matsya Purana — Kārtavīrya Arjuna’s Solar Boon and the Genealogy from Kroṣṭu to the Yādava Lines
तस्यासीत् पुत्रमिथुनं बभूवाविजितं किल आहुकश्चाहुकी चैव ख्यातं मातेमतां वर //
tasyāsīt putramithunaṃ babhūvāvijitaṃ kila āhukaścāhukī caiva khyātaṃ mātematāṃ vara //
From him, it is said, an unconquered pair of children was born—Ahuka and also Ahukī—renowned, O best among the wise.
This verse does not describe Pralaya; it records dynastic genealogy by naming an “unconquered” pair of offspring, Ahuka and Ahukī.
Indirectly, it supports the Purāṇic ideal of orderly lineage and succession—key for kingship (inheritance, continuity of rule) and for householders (progeny and family continuity).
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is stated in this verse; its focus is purely genealogical (vamśa narration).
