Matsya Purana — Inquiry into Yayāti’s Story and the Kacha–Devayānī Episode
शुक्रे तामाहर क्षिप्रं भागभाङ्नो भविष्यसि वृषपर्वणः समीपे ऽसौ शक्यो द्रष्टुं त्वया द्विजः //
śukre tāmāhara kṣipraṃ bhāgabhāṅno bhaviṣyasi vṛṣaparvaṇaḥ samīpe 'sau śakyo draṣṭuṃ tvayā dvijaḥ //
“On Friday, bring her back quickly; you will receive a share of the reward. Near Vṛṣaparvan, that dvija (twice-born brāhmaṇa) can indeed be seen by you.”
This verse does not discuss Pralaya; it belongs to a dynastic/courtly narrative where someone is instructed to bring a woman back and is told how to meet a brāhmaṇa near King Vṛṣaparvan.
Indirectly, it reflects Puranic social order: respectful access to a dvija (brāhmaṇa) and the idea of “bhāga” (a due share/reward) for carrying out an assigned duty promptly—values aligned with disciplined service and proper conduct in royal settings.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is specified here; the only time-marker is “Śukra” (Friday), used as a practical scheduling cue within the story.
