Matsya Purana — Inquiry into Taraka’s Slaying and the Prelude to Guha
वज्रासारमयैर् अङ्गैर् अछेद्यैरायसैर् दृढैः वज्राङ्गो नाम पुत्रस्ते भविता पुत्रवत्सले //
vajrāsāramayair aṅgair achedyairāyasair dṛḍhaiḥ vajrāṅgo nāma putraste bhavitā putravatsale //
“O loving mother of sons, a son named Vajrāṅga will be born to you—his limbs will be as hard as diamond-essence, uncuttable, iron-like, and firmly built.”
This verse does not describe Pralaya; it focuses on a prophetic birth within a royal/dynastic narrative, emphasizing extraordinary bodily qualities rather than cosmic dissolution.
Indirectly, it supports the Purāṇic ideal of lineage continuity: the birth of a powerful heir (with ‘uncuttable’ strength) signals protection of the kingdom and stability of dharma through a capable successor.
No Vāstu, temple architecture, or ritual procedure is stated here; the technical emphasis is on heroic/adamantine physiology (vajra-sāra, achedya) used in Purāṇic praise and prophecy.
