Matsya Purana — Genealogy of the Śūra–Vasudeva
अनुजा त्व् अभवत्कृष्णा सुभद्रा भद्रभाषिणी देवक्यां तु महातेजा जज्ञे शूरो महायशाः //
anujā tv abhavatkṛṣṇā subhadrā bhadrabhāṣiṇī devakyāṃ tu mahātejā jajñe śūro mahāyaśāḥ //
His younger sister was Kṛṣṇā—Subhadrā, the sweet-spoken one. And from Devakī was born a man of great splendor: Śūra, of great renown.
This verse does not address Pralaya; it is a genealogical statement identifying Subhadrā (Kṛṣṇā) as a younger sister and noting the birth of the renowned Śūra from Devakī.
Indirectly, it supports the Matsya Purana’s broader ethical-political framework by preserving lineage memory—vital for kṣatriya legitimacy, inheritance, and the dharmic continuity of families and royal houses.
No Vāstu/temple-building or ritual procedure is stated in this verse; its focus is purely on names and birth within a dynastic account.
