Matsya Purana — Bhīma-Dvādaśī
मतिमान्मानशीलश्च नागायुतबलो महान् भविष्यत्यजरः श्रीमान् कन्दर्प इव रूपवान् //
matimānmānaśīlaśca nāgāyutabalo mahān bhaviṣyatyajaraḥ śrīmān kandarpa iva rūpavān //
He will be intelligent and dignified in conduct; great, with the strength of ten thousand elephants. He will become ageless and prosperous, handsome like Kāma (Kandarpa) himself.
This verse does not discuss Pralaya; it is a royal-genealogical description praising a future ruler’s qualities—intelligence, strength, prosperity, and beauty.
By presenting the ideal traits of a ruler—wisdom (mati), dignified conduct (mānaśīla), and greatness (mahān)—the verse implies the kingly standard expected in Rajadharma: moral character joined with the capacity to protect and govern.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is mentioned in this specific verse; it is focused on personal and royal attributes.
