Matsya Purana — Account of the Manvantaras: Manus
जमदग्निश्च सप्तैते साम्प्रतं ये महर्षयः कृत्वा धर्मव्यवस्थानं प्रयान्ति परमं पदम् //
jamadagniśca saptaite sāmprataṃ ye maharṣayaḥ kṛtvā dharmavyavasthānaṃ prayānti paramaṃ padam //
And Jamadagni—these seven are the great Ṛṣis of the present age; having established the proper order of dharma, they depart to the supreme state.
This verse does not describe pralaya directly; it emphasizes the ongoing post-crisis continuity of cosmic order through the Saptarishis, who stabilize dharma in the present age.
By stating that the sages “establish the order of dharma,” the verse implies that kings and householders should follow the dharma-system articulated by rishis—law, conduct, rites, and social duties—so society remains stable and spiritually oriented.
No explicit Vastu or temple-architecture rule appears here; the ritual takeaway is the primacy of rishi-founded dharma frameworks, within which yajña, vows, and prescribed rites are to be performed correctly.
