Matsya Purana — Account of the Manvantaras: Manus
धर्मवीर्यबलोपेता दशैते रैवतात्मजाः भृगुः सुधामा विरजाः सहिष्णुर्नाद एव च //
dharmavīryabalopetā daśaite raivatātmajāḥ bhṛguḥ sudhāmā virajāḥ sahiṣṇurnāda eva ca //
Endowed with dharma, valor, and strength—these were the ten sons of Raivata: Bhṛgu, Sudhāmā, Virajā, Sahiṣṇu, and also Nāda among them.
This verse does not describe Pralaya; it is a genealogical notice highlighting the virtues (dharma, valor, strength) of Raivata’s sons.
By praising dharma, vīrya, and bala in royal descendants, the verse implies the ideal qualities expected in rulers—ethical conduct (dharma) supported by courage (vīrya) and capacity to protect (bala).
No Vāstu, temple-building, iconography, or ritual procedure is stated here; the focus is purely on lineage and the naming of descendants.
