Dhaumya’s Enumeration of Eastern Tīrthas

Prācī-diś Tīrtha-kathana

यथा ययातिर्धर्मात्मा यथा राजा पुरूरवा: । तथा त्वं राजशार्दूल स्वेन धर्मेण शोभसे,नृपश्रेष्ठ! जैसे धर्मात्मा ययाति तथा राजा पुरूरवा थे वैसे ही तुम भी अपने धर्मसे सुशोभित हो रहे हो। जैसे राजा भगीरथ तथा विख्यात महाराज श्रीराम हो गये हैं, उसी प्रकार तुम भी सूर्यकी भाँति सब राजाओंसे अधिक शोभा पा रहे हो

yathā yayātir dharmātmā yathā rājā purūravāḥ | tathā tvaṃ rājaśārdūla svena dharmeṇa śobhase, nṛpaśreṣṭha |

Nārada said: “Just as the righteous Yayāti, and just as King Purūravas, so too do you, tiger among kings, shine by your own dharma, O best of rulers.”
