Draupadī on Action, Fate, and Human Effort

स भवान्‌ रथमास्थाय सर्वोपकरणान्वितम्‌ | त्वरमाणो$भिनिर्यातु विप्रेभ्यो5र्थविभावक:,“महाराज! आप विजयमें प्राप्त हुए धनका ब्राह्मणोंको दान करनेके लिये अस्त्र-शस्त्र आदि सभी आवश्यक सामग्रियोंसे सुसज्जित रथपर बैठकर शीघ्र यहाँसे युद्धके लिये निकलिये

sa bhavān ratham āsthāya sarvopakaraṇānvitam | tvaramāṇo 'bhiniryātu viprebhyo 'rthavibhāvakaḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “O king, mount your chariot, fully furnished with every requisite—arms and all equipment—and depart at once in haste. Having gained wealth through victory, go forth with the intent of distributing that wealth to the Brahmins.”
