Dharma-śaṅkā-nivāraṇa: Yudhiṣṭhira’s Response on Karma-Phala and Trust in Dharma

yaccāpi kiñcit puruṣo diṣṭaṃ nāma bhajaty uta | daivena vidhinā pārtha tad daivam iti niścitam ||

Yudhiṣṭhira said: “Whatever a person comes to possess as his allotted share—obtained according to the divine ordinance, O Pārtha—this is certainly determined to be ‘daiva’, the force of destiny (one’s apportioned lot).”
