Vaiśaṃpāyana said: “Just so, many great-souled heroes, remaining concealed here and there, have won victory over their enemies in battle. In the same way, you too shall be victorious.”
The verse affirms that prudent concealment and strategic positioning can be legitimate means to overcome hostile forces; it encourages steadfast confidence that victory is attainable even when one must act from cover.
Vaiśampāyana reassures someone facing conflict by citing precedent: many noble warriors have defeated enemies while remaining hidden in different places, and therefore the listener too is foretold to win.
