एवं विवस्वता तात छतन्नेनोत्तमतेजसा । निर्दग्धा: शात्रवा: सर्वे वसता भुवि सर्वश:,“तात! इसी प्रकार महातेजस्वी भगवान् सूर्यने भी पृथ्वीपर गुप्तरूपसे निवास करके समस्त शत्रुओंको दग्ध किया है
evaṁ vivasvatā tāta chadmanenottama-tejasā | nirdagdhāḥ śātravāḥ sarve vasatā bhuvi sarvaśaḥ ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana said: “So too, dear one, the Sun-god Vivasvān—of unsurpassed radiance—dwelt upon the earth in a concealed guise, and by that hidden presence burned up all enemies on every side.”
