Shloka 15

अयं तपस्वी भगवान्‌ स्वाध्यायनियतो द्विज: । यद्‌ यद्‌ ब्रूयान्महातेजास्तत्तद्‌ देयममत्सरात्‌,'ये विप्रवर महातेजस्वी, तपस्वी, ऐश्वर्यशशाली तथा नियमपूर्वक वेदोंके स्वाध्यायमें संलग्न रहनेवाले हैं। ये जिस-जिस वस्तुके लिये कहें, वह सब इन्हें ईर्ष्यारहित हो श्रद्धाके साथ देना

ayaṁ tapasvī bhagavān svādhyāya-niyato dvijaḥ | yad yad brūyān mahātejās tat tad deyam amatsarāt ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “This venerable brahmin is an ascetic, steadfast in the disciplined study of the Veda. Whatever this great-splendoured one may ask for, that very thing should be given—without jealousy, and with a pure, non-grudging heart.”
