Yakṣa-saṃvāda: Yudhiṣṭhira’s Interrogation at the Guarded Water
ततो वृद्धान् द्विजान् सर्वनृत्विज: सपुरोहितान् | समाहूय दिने पुण्ये प्रययौ सह कन्यया,फिर उन्होंने बूढ़े ब्राह्मणों, समस्त ऋत्विजों तथा पुरोहितोंको बुलाकर किसी शुभ दिनमें कन्याके साथ तपोवनको प्रस्थान किया
tato vṛddhān dvijān sarva-nṛtvijaḥ sa-purohitān | samāhūya dine puṇye prayayau saha kanyayā ||
Then, having summoned the aged Brahmins—together with all the officiating priests and the family priest—on an auspicious day he set out for the hermitage-forest, accompanied by the maiden.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
Major life decisions should be undertaken with respect for dharma: seeking the guidance of elders and ritual specialists, and proceeding at an auspicious time, reflecting responsibility and reverence for sacred order.
After calling together elderly Brahmins, the officiating priests, and the family priest, the person in the story departs on a chosen auspicious day, traveling with a maiden toward a tapovana (forest hermitage).
