भरताय हनूमन्तं दूतं प्रास्थापयत्‌ तदा । तत्पश्चात्‌ अयोध्यापुरीके निकट पहुँचकर राष्ट्रपति श्रीरामने हनुमानजीको दूत बनाकर भरतके पास भेजा ।। लक्षयित्वेज्ञितं सर्व प्रियं तस्मै निवेद्य वै

bharatāya hanūmantaṃ dūtaṃ prāsthāpayat tadā | tatpaścāt ayodhyāpurīke nikaṭa pahuñcakara prāsādapati śrīrāmane hanumānjīko dūta banākara bharatake pāsa bhejā || lakṣayitvejñitaṃ sarva priyaṃ tasmai nivedya vai

Mārkaṇḍeya said: Then Rāma dispatched Hanūmān as a messenger to Bharata. Having come near the city of Ayodhyā, Rāma sent Hanūmān to Bharata as his envoy, so that—after discerning everything that was unknown—he might convey to Bharata what was dear and beneficial to him.
