Daitya-āśvāsana of Duryodhana; Karṇa’s assurance and the mobilization of the Kaurava host

त॑ निर्यान्तं महाबाहुं द्रष्ट द्वैतवनं सर: । पौराश्चानुययु: सर्वे सहदारा वनं च तत्‌,द्वैतववन नामक सरोवर तथा वनको देखनेके लिये यात्रा करनेवाले महाबाहु दुर्योधनके पीछे समस्त पुरवासी भी अपनी स्त्रियोंको साथ लेकर गये

taṁ niryāntaṁ mahābāhuṁ draṣṭuṁ dvaitavanaṁ saraḥ | paurāś cānuyayuḥ sarve sahadārā vanaṁ ca tat ||

Vaiśampāyana said: As the mighty-armed Duryodhana set out to see the lake in Dvaitavana and that forest, all the townspeople followed after him as well, taking their wives along.
