ततः प्रव्यथिता भूमिवव््यशीर्यत समन्तत: । आर्ता स्कन्दं समासाद्य पुनर्बलवती बभौ,इससे पृथ्वीको बड़ी पीड़ा हुई। वह सब ओरसे फट गयी और पीड़ित हो कार्तिकेयजीकी ही शरणमें जानेपर पुन: बलवती हो शोभा पाने लगी

Transliteration

tataḥ pravyathitā bhūmir vyāśīryata samantataḥ | ārtā skandaṃ samāsādya punar balavatī babhau ||

Translation

Then the Earth, violently shaken and distressed, split open on every side. In her anguish she sought refuge with Skanda; and upon reaching him, she regained her strength and became whole and radiant again.
