स तेनाभिहतो दीर्णो गिरि: श्वेतो5चलै: सह । उत्पपात महीं त्यक्त्वा भीतस्तस्मान्महात्मन:,इस प्रकार कार्तिकेयद्वारा शक्तिके आघातसे विदीर्ण होकर श्वेत पर्वत उन महात्माके भयसे डर गया और (दूसरे) पर्वतोंके साथ इस पृथ्वीको छोड़कर आकाशमें उड़ गया
Transliteration
sa tenābhihato dīrṇo giriḥ śveto 'calaiḥ saha | utpapāta mahīṃ tyaktvā bhītastasmān mahātmanaḥ ||
Translation
Markandeya said: Struck by him, Mount Śveta was split asunder; and, terrified of that great-souled one, it abandoned the earth and leapt up into the sky together with other mountains.
