मैत्रेयागमनम् — The Arrival of Maitreya and the Admonition to Duryodhana
भीमसेनवधार्थ हि नित्यमभ्युद्यतायुध: । चरामि पृथिवीं कृत्स्नां नैनं चासादयाम्यहम्,“मैं प्रतिदिन हथियार उठाये भीमसेनका वध करनेके लिये सारी पृथ्वीपर विचरता था; किंतु यह मुझे मिल नहीं रहा था
bhīmasenavadhārtha hi nityam abhyudyatāyudhaḥ | carāmi pṛthivīṁ kṛtsnāṁ nainaṁ cāsādayāmy aham ||
“Indeed, with weapons ever raised for the purpose of killing Bhīmasena, I roamed across the whole earth; yet I could not come upon him.”
विदुर उवाच
Single-minded fixation on revenge and killing leads to restless wandering and inner agitation; even when one is constantly armed and determined, outcomes remain constrained by circumstance and fate, inviting reflection on the ethical cost of violent intent.
The speaker states that he continually kept his weapons ready and traveled everywhere with the aim of killing Bhīma, but despite this sustained search he never managed to meet or reach him.
