Kṛṣṇa at Duryodhana’s House: Refusal of Hospitality and Departure to Vidura (कृष्णस्य धार्तराष्ट्रनिवेशनगमनम्)

एवमाश्वासिता कुन्ती प्रत्युवाच जनार्दनम्‌ | पुत्रादेभिरभिध्वस्ता निगृह्माबुद्धिजं तम:,इस प्रकार आश्वासन पाकर पुत्रों आदिसे दूर पड़ी हुई कुन्तीदेवीने अज्ञानजनित मोहका निरोध करके भगवान्‌ जनार्दनसे कहा

evam āśvāsitā kuntī pratyuvāca janārdanam | putrādibhir abhidhvastā nigṛhya buddhijaṁ tamaḥ |

Thus reassured, Kuntī replied to Janārdana. Separated from her sons and the rest, she restrained the darkness born of bewildered understanding and then spoke—gathering herself with clarity and resolve amid distress.
