सभ्राता वै सहसैन्य: सभृत्यो भ्रष्टैश्वर्य: क्रोधवशो5ल्पचेता: । दर्पस्यान्ते निहतो वेपमान: पश्चान्मन्दस्तप्स्यति धार्तराष्ट्र:,“सदा क्रोधके वशमें रहनेवाला अल्पबुद्धि मूढ़ दुर्योधन जब भाई, भृत्यगण तथा सेनाओंसहित एऐश्वर्यसे भ्रष्ट एवं आहत होकर काँपने लगेगा, उस समय सारा घमंड चूर-चूर हो जानेपर उसे (अपने कुकृत्योंके लिये) बड़ा पश्चात्ताप होगा
sa-bhrātā vai saha-sainyaḥ sa-bhṛtyo bhraṣṭaiśvaryaḥ krodha-vaśo 'lpa-cetāḥ | darpasyānte nihato vepamānaḥ paścān mandaḥ tapsyati dhārtarāṣṭraḥ ||
Sañjaya said: Driven always by anger and of little understanding, Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s son (Duryodhana)—when struck down at last, his pride shattered, trembling after losing his sovereignty, and with his brothers, servants, and armies brought low—will then, in his folly, burn with remorse for his wrongdoing.
