हंस–साध्यसंवादः, वाक्-निग्रहः, महाकुल-लक्षणम्, शान्ति-उपायः
Hamsa–Sādhya Dialogue; Restraint of Speech; Marks of Noble Lineage; Means to Peace
एवमेव कुले जाता: पावकोपमतेजस: । क्षमावन्तो निराकारा: काष्ठेडग्निरिव शेरते,इसी प्रकार अपने कुलमें उत्पन्न वे अग्निके समान तेजस्वी पाण्डव क्षमाभावसे युक्त और विकारशून्य हो काष्ठमें छिपी अग्निकी तरह गुप्तरूपसे (अपने गुण एवं प्रभावको छिपाये हुए) स्थित हैं
evam eva kule jātāḥ pāvakopama-tejasaḥ | kṣamāvanto nirākārāḥ kāṣṭhe 'gnir iva śerate ||
So too, born in their noble lineage, the Pāṇḍavas—radiant like fire—remain patient and outwardly unassuming. Free from show and agitation, they lie concealed like fire hidden within wood, keeping their strength and influence veiled until the time calls it forth.
